Sculpture Trail Reception June 4th
June 4 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pmFree
The 2022-2024 Cloverdale Sculpture Trail was installed downtown just a couple of weeks ago. The juried exhibit brings public art to the downtown business community. Nine new pieces were installed and will remain in place for two years. The Sculpture Trail is made possible by a generous grant from Creative Sonoma and the community’s sculpture sponsors including Management Connections, David McChesney, Plank Coffee and Roastery, Bob Scott and Tim McDonald, Jude Gibson, Shelli Byers, Suzanne Black, Papa’s Pizza Cafe and Erickson Fine Art Gallery. The prize sponsors are Ron & Jane Pavelka, Best of Show; Wolf House Brewing Co., First Place and Erin Mavis Clothing, Honorable Mention. The City of Cloverdale’s two emloyees Craig Johnson and Javier Diaz installed the pieces and the city lent financial support to OtoCast, the downloadable audio visual app for the show.
A reception for the artists is scheduled for June 4th from 5 to 7:30 at the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center, 209 N. Cloverdale Blvd. The People’s Choice Award, generously sponsored by Cloverdale Nursery, will be announced at this time as well as the three financial awards. Voting is available online at www.Cloverdalesculpturetrail.org and at the reception. Refreshments will be served, live music performed by Greg Hester Jazz and a video created by Jude Byers with highlights from the trail and interviews with sculptors, will be available for viewing in the theater. The reception is free to the public.
