Cloverdale Arts Alliance presents THE Jazz Club first Thursdays, October to May

Cloverdale, CA, February 7, 2023 — On Thursday, March 2, the Cloverdale Arts Alliance will continue THE Jazz Club season with the Peter Horvath Trio. Joining Horvath for this performance will be Gary Brown on bass and Steve Rossi on drums.

Contemporary jazz pianist/keyboardist and composer, Peter Horvath has been perfecting his craft since the age of 6 when he began taking classical piano lessons. Born in Budapest, Hungary, he attended the Bela Bartok Conservatory of Music.

At age 17, he won the National Jazz Combo Competition in Gyor, Hungary and two years later moved to Austria to attend the Vienna Conservatory of Music.

In 1983, Peter moved to the United States, where he briefly studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has since performed, recorded and toured nationally and worldwide with a long line of world-class artist, including jazz greats Bobby Hutcherson, Joe Henderson, Richie Cole, Ernie Watts, Eddie Henderson, Charles McPherson, Benny Maupin, the Victor Bailey Group, Lenny White, Arturo Sandoval, Randy Brecker, Marcus Miller, Pee Wee Ellis Funk Assembly, Bob Mintzer, Bob Sheppard, Craig Handy, Tiger Okoshi, Lalah Hathaway, Melba Moore, Ledisi, Keith Washington, Rosie Gaines, Ray Obiedo, Pete Escovedo, Kenneth Nash and the Oakland Symphony.

This performance will be at the Cloverdale Arts Alliance Gallery, located at 204 N. Cloverdale Blvd. Tickets are $20 for Cloverdale Arts Alliance members and $25 for non-members. Doors open at 7:00 pm; music begins at 7:30 pm. THE Jazz Club takes place the first Thursday of each month from October through May.
